hey guys when i was driving in tucson i pulled up next to a green volks gti hatch, so we both downshift, i am at 5k rpms, and we both gun it, i take it to the "red zone" of my engine 7k rpm in 4th gear and before i knew it i had about 4 cars on him. i knew this isnt an awesome kill but for a 20 year old car with a k &n filter take down a new light turbo hatch i would say its pretty good

Nice kill :P Im new to the board, got an 85 Rex with a 12a. Paid 500 bucks for it, has 82k on the dash and I am the second owner. Oh and almost NO rust, one spot around the rear hatch and underneath the drivers door ON the door are my 2 cancer spots. Only prob I had was a stuck Apex seal due to it sitting in a garage for 4 years without running but it was nothing that good ole Amsoil Power Foam couldnt unstick. Good to hear the 1g's are out there still spanking some ass!

This means you have maintained your RX 7 very well just keep get it serviced from the mechanic on regular intervals.......Just take care of your transmission as its not good to reach 7000rpm with 4th gear...... definitely a good beat.....
