I purchased an original one owner 1990 convertible for my son a couple of years ago. I bought my wife a new Honda last year and my son then wanted his mom's car (18 yrs. old and wants every car on the road---remember those days??). The RX7 sits most of the time. It is a blast to drive, but it's simply the "extra" vehicle since last November. I can't stand for vehicles to "sit" and would prefer this car go to a rotary enthusiast since I have learned how special these cars are since buying the vert. It has about 108-110K on it. The car's original owner was from FL. and he obviously took good care of it for the first 18-19 yrs. Carfax shows everthing clean and no accidents, but it does have the usual "Wal-Mart" dings in the doors, original paint, BBS wheels, 13b, automatic, etc... He had just put new Alcantara Leather on the seats at a cost of $850. Since we have owned it , we have installed new OEM exhaust (another $850), new alternator and new tires (another $400). I have two top motors in the trunk that need to be installed as we have simply been letting the top down manually. To put this car on the road daily, I would install new brake master cylinder (original one leaks down) and a new radiator (original one doesn't seem to transfer water consistently). I have $5500 in this car, but am willing to accept $4000 for it if an enthusiast will buy it and treat this vehicle like the original survivor it is and continue to put her back to perfection. It is RED and a Head Turner!!! If interested, e-mail me @ [email protected] for pics, answers and/or more info. thanks, later, PK
