View Full Version : Maf conversion using standalone such as AEM?

Anyone do it? You could get a universal box and spend some time hooking up the stock harness to that...then use a maf setup to get better fuel mileage. It would seem that putting the car in closed loop for crusing/driving around town would bump up your fuel mileage significantly.

For the FD, I could be retarded though, they all use MAP based ECU's in stock form, right?

Just curious....since most modern cars get better mileage with a closed/open loop system based on a maf.

It's all depends on how it was programmed for tuning. BDC, an excellent engine builder/tuner, told me that he gets over 20mpg on his half bridgeported 13BT.
