a T2 motor?

you'll need a 13BT motor, a TII tranny (or one similar to withstand the abuse) and I would go ahead and get a new rear end while you're at it. None of the NA stuff can really handle being turbocharged very well.

you can ge turbo IIs for 1500 bucks in some places, thats alot cheaper then converting one

There are certain advantages to Turbo-ing base models. the GTU would be the luxury obviously. But the very base are lighter by some 300 pounds. Plus turbo IIs are getting harder to find every day. Buy one if you can find it, but the conversion isn't a bad idea. If you're going to make a turbo use a convertible for it. Turbo verts are awesome

No dont turbo a vert.... wtf are you talking about.... O and I have never ran any TII Drive train on my car and only blew a tranny due to no oil....

AusTexRex 05-19-2004 12:58 AM

I like Turboverts. Turbocharging any other N/A rx7 is a waste, because you can just buy a TII for less than you'll end up spending.

But damn that shit is getting too popular... everyone is bossting their verts now....

I'm working on a printable guide to charging an N/A 7. All factory parts, including intake manifold. Also I'll put up the links for SS turbo exhaust manifolds for the N/A. I think that there is no reason not to turbo you N/A if you take into consideration what you are doing and do it the proper way. If you ghettofy it, it will blow up. I'll try to get my guide up soon.

theres nothing wrong with turboing an n/a, its just that it can be more expensive in the long run. I would rather just get a turbo engine and not have to worry about anything else.. altough if you make sure there is enough fuel, an n/at will make power easier and have a better bottom end.
