the rebuilt one is still sitting on the floorboard of my Explorer!
it's been so damn hot here, i'm waiting for a break in the weather and that's suppose to be tomorrow. i'll let you know, but the guy at the shop did say the solenoid was bad. i've had these guys do work before and they are good and imo, you can't beat the price. new one was $99. at Auto Zone and Advance Auto, they charged me $50 and i always like to put my old starter back when i can anyway, know it will work without shims.
