Yes, Stage 1 had I believe 27 episodes, Stage 2 only had 13 and stage 3 was a movie, the graphics went increasing on as the stages went up. There is also a battle stage of all the drift battles that happened during the course of the stages. As a plus there is an extra stage with two of the main character (takumi)'s opponents. Ive heard rumors about a 4th stage in the works. As for the arcade version, it has already been upgrade to version 2 of the game and includes a wide selection of vehicles and a chance to modify your vehicle as you race, pass stages and actually save your progress on a magnetic-memory card. This is its most unqie feature. Between the music (orginial soundtrack) the voices, the animation, and the storyline, Initial D is an admirable anime.
