Default 87 13b Rebuild or Replace?
i'm a new rotary fanatic, i just bought a 1987 rx7 non turbo, but it has bad coolant seals. i need help on figuring out the best way to get her up and running again. i see a alot of people say i should rebuild the entire motor or buy a jdm engine off ebay. but i dont have $900 for a master rebuild kit or even more for an entire motor. i need help

Rebuild the motor man, if you buy another motor you will be getting a used motor. At least with the rebuild you are starting fresh. Coolant seals require a rebuild, sorry no way around it, that I know of.

i found out that the coolant seals werent blown, the guy was a complete idiot. he said there was alot wrong when theres not. the coolant system just needed to be burped of air. so motors good and runs like a champ right now

Hey, I just rebuild my motor without replacing my oil seals on the rotors. But I did replace the coolant seats, side seals and apex seals and springs. If I use a different turbo than the stock, should I use blockers?
