Default Idle at 2000rmp?!?!!? shat.
Hey its me again... turbo problem fixed... but now another problem... "boost leak" "air leak" or something when asking a rotory performance workshop here in australia.. the question i asked was "my 13bt is on 2000rpm at idle.. not when it starts up straight away, but after a few seconds. the second it starts up its at about 1300 to 1650rpm.. Anyone know the source of the problem???

Could be many things. Does your car have an Air control Valve? That could be a problem. If not just check all your hoses, listen for air coming out. What you can do, and i've done before, is get a cup of water, and pour it slowly over area's with a lot of vac. lines. when pouring the water you hear a change of rpm or the motor dies, you know you have a vac. leak. Good luck.

Diagnosing idle problems is the worst in rx7s. Well in general they suck. I would check vac lines, throttle cable, idle screw, so on.

Hmm, checked all that and i found a few things... my blow off valve has been broken and "they" (Japanese kid racer - 0 brain) has super glued it back on and now the lil part that sticks out of the HKS old school bov has broken off again... another thing, on the throttle body lines thingy... the springs that spring it back to not accelerating a tired and not strong... vac lines dont appear to be all that new either.... wanna see the car here it is.. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/623416

Did you adjust your air/fuel mixture and idling?

BOV's existance is to "control" boost spooling, sort of speak and has no bearing to idling speed.

And I'm sure you know that superglueing BOV will not fix the problem as pressure is far more stronger.

Hope you'll get that problem fixed.

A BOV is just to release lboost. boost is controlled through your accuator and wastegate.

ok, if a bov is defective it could affect idle speed.
