That has to be one of the hottest RX7s I've ever seen. I don't even wanna think about what it cost. I'm sure you don't either!

Noone has swapped it yet because it's basically a waste of time as has been said before. Soon enough there will be turbocharging kits for the FE's (rx8s) and it might be done, but I doubt it. Those same turbo kits won't work for the swap either as the FE's engine bay is too crowded to fit a turbo in easily, so whoever makes the kit will be doing so very conservatively. Something an FB doesn't have the space for.
Supercharging the renesis on the other hand is a magnificent idea and is being done to a lot of FE's right now. It can add anywhere from 80-120 more HP depending on the type of supercharger and how well the job is done. Supercharging as with Turbocharging is one of those things that will be increasingly beneficial as other mods are slapped onto the car to free things up or boost power.
In short: no it hasn't been done yet.

There are a couple of people that have turbocharged the 8's and yea there is hardly anyspace to put the turbo in a traditional position but the ones that I've seen put it infront as if it was on longitutional engine layout.

Right, which is the inherent problem. It almost negates itself unless you're running high amounts of boost, because your exhaust has to recirculate all the way around and the intake temps are pretty bad. I've never heard of them turbocharging the 8's because of this, but I've seen and installed superchargers on them. Electric ones because we couldnt really find a space for a belt driven one.
