I helped my friend do this swap about three years ago. www.supraswap.com

He doesn't update the site much anymore but the cars has ran just fine. It's sweet.

Just my humble opinion but an FD with an LS1/7 is a much better swap than 2JZ-GTE. From what I have read the V8 RX-7 is actually lighter than the 13B original on account of the aluminum engine block.

My guess is the suspension dynamics are better also with the V8 than 2JZ.

Check it out:

Default building one
i am building a 93 with the 2jzgte.
garrett gt42 turbo
hks cams
hks cam gears
1000cc injuector
a1000 fuel pump
aem ems
head studs
ect ect
the whole argument about the weight diff. of a v8 vs. the 2jz could go one n on because not a one of us will ever weigh them!
plus, the whole thing of putn a v8 in a import just doesnt fit with me! to all there own, just the way i wana do mine i guess
