It sells for 40 in austin. That's list of course, so you walk in and it says 40, you try bargaining, the salesman fakes like he can't go lower, but then goes to about 35, and you feel smart, and he just made an extra 2-5k off of you. Austin's car scene is huge, but it's mostly really rich dumbasses. 2 of the 4 3000gt vr-4 convertibles sold in the U.S. are in Westlake which is the richest part of town. Shit like that. Lots of Ferrari's and Porsche's and everything. So it all costs more, because people here can afford it.

4? Pretty sure there are several more than 4 produced... If not then the other two are in KC and both owners were parents of kids I went to high school with..

I know they're rare, but they made a whoel lot more than 4

ok, found it... try 877.

Read into that site a little more, that includes Japanese production numbers. Are you sure the ones near you were VR4's? My friend is the local vr4 guru and he says it's either 4 or 8, but he's pretty sure it's 4. One of those numbers is the spyder and the other is the ones that came gull wing factor direct, which you won't find anywhere since it's factory custom. But he's pretty sure the gull wings are greater, and he's positive one is a spyder/gull wing

151k production numbers are a lil high for a car like that.... I doubt there are 150k+ 3000gt's here. I wonder where they got those numbers from???

They're world wide numbers. And if you read the whole page half of them include the other models so many cars are counted twice. SL spyders were counted amount SLs as well and stuff like that.
