Default S5?
Can anyone tell me why its hard to find an 88-92 Turbo 2? May be a noob question, but havent seen it in the faq.

well because they didn't make dat many dat wat ive read but i might be wrong but i have 1988 turbo 2 chassis and dropping in a s5 13b turbo jdm u could like at the pics on myspace my name is gsdmotorsportscomingsoon

Because FC TIIs (second gen turbo) are the most popular and demanding model. Yes, it's hard to find them in an excellent shape, for that matter mediocre condition ones. When you are looking for one try to look for ones that are in original condition rather than ones that are already modified.

Haha the reason it is hard to find USDM S5 model Rx7's 89-91 in turbo is because only around 2% of them (well the 91 for sure) were turbo. Add to the fact that they are 19+ yrs old and that number drops even lower, as many cars have been wrecked, scrapped, etc.

Majority of the S5 JDM cars were turbo that's why the JDM S5 Turbo engines are a dime a dozen.
