Default Just a day in the garage.
So today I decided to clean the garage & do some vehicle maintenance. I have came to the conclusion that I need a bigger garage. Too much shit everywhere! I have parts for all sorts of cars I have worked on, friends leftover stuff & random shit I have collected. As I finished organizing in there, I started on the cars. Changed the fluids, wipers & rotated the tires on the Spec V. Then I got to the Speed6, everything going good until I went to change the plugs. I have made another observation, a FMIC would be a great addition. Not just for the performance aspect, but because having to take the factory top mount is more work then needed to change some plugs. God forbid if i was on the dyno tuning & had to changes plugs a few times. Not that it's a pain, just time consuming. Okay so a ran off at the mouth for a min & I feel better.

Well it does provide a short route of piping, it has good ducting & doesn't obstruct airflow to the radiator. Now a properly sized FMIC set up & ducted correctly is a step in the right direction for sure.

A thought has arisen while I was in the garage last night. I might try to piece together a new brake set up. I have been looking into some Wilwood calipers & 2 pc rotors as well as some Brembo. The Brembo set up would just be the EVO IX brakes since all the guess work has already done for the swap to an FC. Though I do like the idea of the Wilwoods being my own. It's just a thought until I can do a little more research.

So I have sold one of my FB's, one of my FC's & my Spec V all within the last month or so. Driveway is more accessible, garage is a little more clear & I can focus on the the few cars I have now opposed to more then I can really have the time for. I haven't really decided in which direction I want to start. I'm fairly sure I will be attending to the 83 & it's progression.

I picked up an 02 VW Jetta 1.8T for a daily. Most likely will not be modding the car other then some suspension, intake & maybe a down pipe.
