Default 1985 gsl-se not starting. Please help
Hey everyone, I'm new here and new to rotary's. I was a datsun guy haha. Anyway I recently rescued a 1985 rx7 gsl-se that had sat for years, it's in great shape, 112k, one owner with all the paperwork. I'm trying to get the car going and I've hit a snag. The car was parked with a full tank of gas, I drained it all out, replaced the pump and filter and it fired up. Ran good off and on on the jack stands for about a day and now it won't start. I checked again to make sure I still have fuel, I pulled the hose at the engine and cranked, I have lots of fuel. I also pulled the return hose off the rail heading back to the tank, lots of fuel there too. It's like it's just going in the rail and coming back out the other side with nothing actually going through the injectors. I checked spark, it's good, but the plugs were dry and the car is not firing. What has me baffled is that it was running for a while and I didn't change anything. It seems like whatever controls the injectors isn't working, and the only thing I've been told does that is the ignitors. People are telling me it's the injectors themselves but like I said it was running fine, it doesn't make sense to me that they all the sudden clogged up especially when I'm running a new filter. It's like they just aren't being told to spray. I'm I crazy? Any help would be appreciated, I need to get this thing running! I also checked fuel pressure, I'm getting 35psi while cranking. And I checked spark on both coils, both are strong. Any ideas?
