This is the only thing I've ever really found picture wise.

But it's still up to speculation obviously. I've heard talk of a new rx7 in 2006, which would make sense considering the widely popular sales of the rx8 will start dropping around that time. I think they'll be turbocharging rx8s sometime in 2005 -2006 then producing the new rx7s in 2007 personally. something along those lines, but then again nothing is confirmed. I'm just speculating on business sense.
It would make my day to have a new rx7 with the improved renesis to smoke all of these trash talking new cars.

That would be sweet to see..and that pic looks great.

But why would the make a 4th Gen if the 8's out? Why make RX8 if you are still planning to develope another RX7?

the rx8 is a 4 door 4 seat car, although some 4th gens came with rear seats I would imagine that they be kept strictly 2 seaters if they where to come out new. Also I doubt they would turbo the rx8 as well as the rx7.. It wouldnt be a smart move at all as a business or marketing stand point. I think they are gunna keep the rx8 n/a if they come out with the 7, but if not then I believe that Mazda Speed would be quick to turbo them. I have a feeling that if they do come out witht he rx7 that its gunna stay over seas and never come over here... but who noes...

Well actually the new rx7 is planned to have wider rotors and therefore a higher displacement with the Renesis design somewhere in the 2.0L + range. They will not be coming stock turbocharged. The rx8 is intended to be more of a sport sedan actually, although it isn't bad as a sports car. By delaying the sales of the cars in the order I mentioned before would get a lot of people to hop from rx8 to turborx8 to rx7. The dealers I have spoke with about this all agree with me.

Dealesr aren't the ones I'm getting the 4th gen info from. I was getting the sales info from them about how they think mazda is planning on releasing things.
