I would not use a glasspack on a rotary. Save your money & buy or have made a decent exhaust. It's okay to skimp here & there, but I would not suggest all out budget cut.
I guess i need to find a place around me (NY) that would do it how much do u think it would be? I found online 4 feet of muffler piping 2.25 for $30 and idk i was thinking if not ebay mufflers go to pep boys n get mufflers frok there cause they have brand name mufflers
If i run straigh pipes ill have clouds of smoke flying out the back of my car rite? Its better to buy a race/test pipe to replace the cat?
First and foremost, you should ck your local smog issues and many muffler places will not modify an existing cat set-ups due to legality issues.
Remember, you're running n/a and you need some sort of backpressure. My recommendation, especially if you're going to go single, is to go with a quality chambered muffler and skimp the rest a bit. |
Don't forget that an uncorked NA rotary will be loud & annoying. That will definitely get you some unwanted attention.
Im not sure about going single i just mentioned it, im not worried about legallity stuff, but i was going to just put a 2& 1/4 or 2&1/2 whatever the stock piping is inlet racepipe with like a 3 inch in the middle and 2&1/4 or 2&1/5 outlit and replace the mufflers with stock piping inlit and 3 or 3.5 max inch tips
that would explain why mine sounds awful. theres no cat. and its n/a
hahaha im getting to it. |
I want whatever performance upgrade i can get, a high flow cat will be too loud? Gut the cat? Drill holes in the cat?
Hollow 'em out. And get a good muffler system.
Im prob not gunna get a system, im not gunna waste 600$ or more for a nice exhaust its not gunna make a big enough difference to be worth it, im just gunna do whatever to the cat and replace the mufflers. how do u gut/hallow out a cat?
