found one i want, good purchase?
 

found a 1989 rx7 i want. its a buddies dads of mine. its garage kept, so exterior and interor is flawless. its got 60k original miles and everything is stock. says it drives fine with no leaks for anything. what are some common issues assciated with these cars? hes is asking $4k for it. good deal if everything checks out okay?

That is not a bad price, depending on what your planning to do with the car. All USDM convertibles are NA.

It can be swapped over to a Turbo setup fairly easily.

A rebuild with a stellar port job and supporting bolt ons (ecu upgrade, injectors, exhaust, intake, etc.) can easily increase performance as well.

Sounds like a good buy, Just pick up a oil metering pump (OMP) just in case.
