A 1989 is not an S4 it's an S5. The 1JZGTE & 2JZGTE are good motors. They have big power potential if you have big pockets. There are more then a few who have been down the road you are wanting to go. Google 1JZ FC3S & a ton of option you can look at. I have only met one guy with that swap & to be honest he was an ass who talked a lot of shit, until a friend of mine handed him his ass in a Eclipse.
