We sounds like a good price, if he has the know how, time & money he can make a decent car.

I have witnessed some high power SOHC Honda's do their thing at the track. I have also built a few 300+ hp Honda's & can tell you if done right on the track they will perform well. Some good friends of mine own & race 700+ hp Honda's. Some pluses for Honda is their lightweight advantage, aftermarket support, price & parts interchange.

Know the capabilities of the car in which you are building will help you decided in what direction to go. Obviously if you like drifting FWD platforms would not be the choice for you. There's a place for all platforms (FWD, RWD or AWD).

That's why I own vehicles of all three platforms!
