Default 85 gs won't start?
I bought an 85 rx7 a couple of months ago and I got it running and driving after twenty years of sitting. It ran beautifully. One day when I was pulling into my drive way, the clutch lost all pressure and stuck to the floor. I figured the clutch was just loose so I tighted it up, which helped. But it still sticks to the floor occasionally and ever since that day the car won't start. I found out it was leaking coolant in the engine bay and the cab whsere the pedals are. I can't pinpoint the leak. But while I was under the car looking for the leak, I changed the fuel filter. I cleaned the carb and put a battery I had in my mini in, it still won't start and the clutch still sticks to the floor. Anyone know what it could be?

Okay well sounds like you need a new clutch. As for the coolant issue if it's leaking into the cabin most likely a bad heater core. If you have a blown coolant seal then it's time for a rebuild.

The clutch issue is most likely your slave cylinder. I just had the same issue with mine. One easy way to check is to get a brake bleeder kit, hook it up to the top of the slave with the clutch pedal pulled up. Then loosen the bolt, press the clutch down. If you see any air, your slave cylinder is shot.

*edit*

Good news is you can get a full master/slave replacement setup from auto zone for <$50 without new lines and hoses. I'd replace those anyway since you have it out.

*end edit*

The inside of mine looked like a murder zone of rust and fluid, it was just sucking air past the seals.

When you say coolant leak near the pedals, do you mean in the engine bay? Or in the car? If it's in the engine bay, do you have a beehive oil cooler? It's probably leaking from there based on your description.

Not starting could be a lot of different things. Spark issues, fuel issues, bad wires. Sadly you just needs to start at one end work your way back. Start with fuel delivery, then work your way to the harder items to check as you go; Fuel, electrical, air.
